Something dangling off the car

Last night was one of those nights where I just wanted to go home.
On my way home from work they were sweeping the roads and while I drive past it hit the guys tire in front of me then bounced off my car at the same time as I swerved I slammed a pot hole.
Well it sounded like something was dragging. I got out and saw nothing. Mind you I don't know where pieces go on this car.
So I kept driving then went away. I had kicked the mud flap as a friend said sometimes that rubs against the tire since it sounded like that.
I got up this morning and in front of the drivers tire a piece of plastic is sitting down further so I called the dealership and go in tomorrow
I pushed this piece up and the noise stopped. So it's the splash guard. Hoping the warranty covers it as it's $100 to $150 to fix

@mlgen1037 no they tied it up. It's an important piece so needs replacing.b

@BarBaraPrz Nope even with 10 years. I got my last car and t last through everything. This one $54 part snaps off on a pothole

We will see at 10am. After some research believe it's the splash guard and apparently happens often with lower cars like this one. The piece is just plastic and the brackets constantly fall off and it hangs one smack and off it goes
