First Day of Summer

It was a glorious sunrise this morning on my way to the Y for a good workout in the pool. It was so light out, even the streetlights went off at 4:45 a.m. I've never seen them go off so early before.
I also found I was partway on my journey to the Y when I noticed I didn't have my car lights on. No lights at 4:30 in the morning? Unheard of. I turned them on, but that's how light it was already.
Having it light this early, and being light so late, is the one thing I like about summer. If it could be that way in winter too, I wouldn't have any trouble with night driving.
We're also experiencing a very nice first day of summer. Temps are average at 76 with a nice breeze to take the humidity down. As I'm looking outside, I see some nice white fluffy clouds. Everything is nice and green with the recent rain. A very nice day.

My first day of summer was just work. Left Green Bay this morning and I am in Mauston tonight. It rained quite a bit today, and I thought it was going to be sunny. But it DID at least get light out sooner than usual. It HAS been nice traveling through Wisconsin though the last couple of days. Much cooler here right now than it is back home, and much cooler than it was when I left Tuesday morning. Monday we had a heat index of 105. Today it never got past 65.

Yes and it's the longest day of the year to be light out, and I've seen where if you have pets and they are outside pets keep an eye on them for today is a big day for witches to do ritual's and pets are going missing.

I had never heard that before. I had dogs for many years and never had a problem with them.
