I don't think Melania was trying to #BeBest

Seriously, what was she thinking? Today Melania Trump visited undocumented children at a detention center in Texas. These were NOT children who were separated from their parents like we've been seeing in the news lately, but that is neither here nor there. It was good PR for her to go and try to look like she cares about the kids. After all, that is the center of her #BeBest campaign--the welfare of children. So what did she wear as she boarded her plane in Washington DC? (on a hot and humid summer day) A green jacket with the words "I really don't care, do you?" written in huge letters on the back. Wait, what? She is supposed to be going to show that she cares and she wears a totally unnecessary jacket declaring that she DOESN'T care? People were outraged and offended when pictures of her wearing the jacket hit the news. So, what did she do? She wore the jacket again while de-planing when she got back to DC. Her spokesperson tried to say that it was all much ado about nothing and said "it is just a jacket" and that "there was no hidden message". Well, sure, there was no hidden message because it was RIGHT THERE in huge letters on Melania's back! Of course her husband couldn't keep his mouth shut and had to tweet about it. He claims that there was, in fact, a message intended for "the fake news media"--that his wife doesn't care about them or what they say any longer--as if we are supposed to believe him after he directly contradicts his wife's spokesperson and because he is known to be a pathological liar. So far no one has a clue why Melania, who is extremely conscious of her image, would wear such a thing with such a message while making such a trip today. She is the member of the Trump family with the highest approval ratings, but I think we will see them falling after today's HUGE misstep.
