Has there ever been a human audio voice social media site?

If not, there should be.The talking social media app. What an idea. Imagine that. You could talk into your mic and it would text it. Then if the person on the other side wanted to hear you due to not being able to see that well, could hear your post instead of being unable to read it due to being partially blind or just have bad vision? Some of the new browser features provide the ability to have web pages read aloud to you, and for those who are into sound bytes, I think there is a feature in some applications to talk or dictate and have the word processor create a text format of what you say. It is already available in the most advanced word processor out there. The only program I remember using in the past was called DRAGON NATURALLY SPEAKING. where you could learn to talk into a microphone and the program would transpose what you said into a text document. These features like sound to text and text to sound and voice mail and perhaps voice chats and social media sites becoming more the norm than the exception. Just wait and see what goes down in the next few years from today. It is most likely to become the new normal. Next thing would be Virtual Reality social media, where 3 D human avatars would take up space in a room with a number of chairs at a conference table and everyone would interact from their homes or work place cubicles and appear in 3D virtual reality to occupy a single space where familiar faces and/or avatars would interact like they would do in real time but be thousands of miles from each other. Well it actually is going on everywhere already. It's just that not everyone has caught up with it yet. We could even see a news anchor person be replaced with a virtual news reporter, a kind of MAXHEAD room type but with fully body, not just a floating head. Most of what I just wrote down here on this discussion has already become the new wave of human interaction and with the super ability of AI and robotics and 3D holograph projections and computer aided animations, there might be a new way to do social media that will take us into a new realm of being completely submersed in a new reality, a 3rd wave of social media so to speak. But wait. I just realized something. Didn't our grandparents have real life 3 D reality conversations in person with real live people? Yes. It is so silly of me. We could just toss the gadgets and go back to human interactions the old fashion way, BY GOING TO VISIT A FRIEND OR NEIGHBOR AND SPENDING REAL TIME IN CONVERSATION WITH 3 D AUDIO IMAGERY AND THE WHOLE 5 SENSES. No matter how advanced technology gets, nothing will ever out do or make better that which is what our parents, grandparents and those who grew up living just a century or more from today took for granted as just the way things were done. So who needs Artificial Intelligence? Nobody. In fact most of the things we spend our idle time doing will one day look like complete and utter insanity to future generations, if they get a chance to live a normal life without the things we tend to hold dear to us, like microwaves and Electronic SPAM that isn't even fit to eat if it were put in a can.

Nothing beats the real thing. As always. I still love to see people in person and have fun with them.

Often it is difficult when some people in our family live so so far away. But texting is the next best thing.

I tried Dragon Naturally Speaking when it first came out and unfortunately I should have waited a few years. I'm sure that they have made it a whole lot better than the early days. And your idea...that would be awesome... I'm thinking of my mom in the nursing home right now!!

You are thinking about someone who is close to you and one you hold dear to your heart, so that is good to know.

It might just happen sooner than people might expect. Who can say for sure.

At present, the voice input function can be realized on our social media website. Audio can be sent directly or translated into text. With these social media sites, we can have a voice chat or video chat with someone in our circle. It's really convenient.
