I don't live in a housing society. I am living on a farm where the shelter is provider by the farm itself! Otherwise I have my own independent house at my home city! Thanks!

Some people are bound to be obtuse and try to take advantage of others. Others more demanding and dominating and sort of everybody should listen to me type. Politics comes up with it. One reason I dislike such things. I have selected an old age for me. 4000 INR per month plus electricity bill. If I want the entire room to me, it would be 8000 INR per month plus electricity bill. This includes room cleaning, and food and laundry. I think it is damn cheap. We tried to find out why it is cheap because I did not wish to live off charity. They said the veggies are grown in adjacent farm. The transportation costs are less than half the cost in city. Milk too they get in the compound because of Hindu belief to feed cows. Farmers come and feed them. So no expenses on that either. It is a vegetarian out fit. So yes, the overall cost is definitely lower than in city. Food simple. The only charity is accommodation. They are not collecting any rent as it is not for profit organization.

Yes there is one here somewhere I had read about and they are entirely solar energy. I would not like to live in this one because there are so many restrictions to living and also fees yearly.

Thanks for replying. We have monthly maintenance charges here that includes security, parking, development, service charges and festival funds. Different society have different criteria of setting it under the bylaws.

I live out in the country.. so parking, garden, etc are all my choices since I own the land. The only thing that limits land use, is we are nearby some nature parks - so being as close to green / nature friendly as possible. My neighbors are armed and pay attention so traffic on road is pretty much only those that are suppose to be here!

@Daelii @Daelii ok .there is no thing called restrictions as for rain water harvesting here .The water is accumulated on rooftop of the buildings mainly in some reservoir and than the water is used for various purpose except drinking.

@stapllotik nope! Some areas have restrictions on how/where rain water can be collected and stored. Here? as long as we are not adding poisons to the ground water its all okay whatever we do.
