Found eleven cents on the beach yesterday

I went to the beach yesterday and I found eleven cents. One cent I found by the snack bar and ten cents I found in the the parking lot. I wasn't really looking for change on the ground. The coins just happened to be where I was at the time. And they were staring right at me. No way, was I not going to pick them up. Eleven cents is not much but it was a good feeling finding them. Did you ever find coins or even dollar bills at the beach? What were some other places you ever found money at?

You should have picked it up and used it up....by doing so you are putting back the currecy back into circulation for which it was made! Please next time when ever you get any small coins please pick it up and use it! Thanks dear friend!

The last time I spotted a coin on the pavement was a frustrating experience. It was lying in the middle of the pavement, no fence or wall nearby. I was afraid that if I bent down to pick it up I would have problems getting up again. So I let it be. It wasn't the money I couldn't get that made me sad - it was only a small coin - it was the realisation of getting old. :-(

@lovebuglena If everything would *not* have been okay, I would have sat in the middle of the pavement waiting for someone to help me up. When I saw the coin, there was nobody in sight. I didn't want to risk that.

That must not be a great feeling. But maybe everything would have been okay if you did pick it up. I remember I bend down to pick up a ten cent coin in the middle of the street once only to find the coin was somehow embedded into the asphalt. But at first it didn't hit me that this was the case and I kept trying to get it out but it wouldn't budge and I had no idea why. And it was frustrating.

Now since I am staying on a farm I don;t find any of them! But when I was in city during school days and college days ....I used to find many coins and once I found a bundle of currency which I really don't know how much it was, as I was eagerly waiting for the person who lost it! He came after some time after verifying that he was the genuine person I returned the money to him! Thanks!

@lovebuglena, in fact that bundle was wrapped with a rubber band....and I think because of this actually it must have fallen from his pocket! He was searching at the place where I found the bundle. I approached him asked what he was searching for then he told that he lost some money! I asked how was the currency kept? He answered that in was in a bundle and after asking the color of the rubber band used and confirmed I returned the money! He was so relaxed and out of the tension that he has forgotten to thanks me!

It was nice of you to return that money. How did you confirm that it was indeed that person who lost it?

@AKRao24 By what you say he must be the owner indeed. Did he give you a tip for finding that money and returning it?

I was crossing the street yesterday and saw a shiny penny. I could not pick it up because a car was coming my way. I wanted to pick it up but decided a penny is not worth risking getting hit by a car.

I haven't seen coins on the beach. But I had seen them on the road.I usually kept them because they are lucky coins.

Well, these coins weren't actually on the beach. I've never found coin on the actual beach in the sand or by the water.

Yes I find coins all the time when I am out and about. One morning I found a bunch of pennies in the road like someone throw them out the window when driving by. I think the most I have ever found was five dollars in the school parking lot.

I think the most I ever found in one shot was 75 cents. I did see a dollar once but it was lying at the bottom of the escalator and I didn't feel like bending down. I regretted it and went back to get it but someone else had already taken it.
