Fiji Water - Why We Should Drink It

Water is water, isn't it? Does it really make a difference what kind we drink? The truth is that not all water is the same and Fiji Water, which contains a high amount of silica, could prevent one common cause of Alzheimer's Disease. There are also other brands of water which are also high in silicon, especially in Europe, but in the United States Fiji Water is the easiest to obtain. Our bodies absorb several heavy metals over the years ... mercury, iron, arsenic and aluminum, for example. Aluminum, in particular, can penetrate the lining of the brain and is believed to be one of the potential causes of Alzheimer's Disease. One of the reasons I donate blood regularly is because doing so reduces the concentration of heavy metals in my body, so there are definite health benefits for me, as well as the good it does for other people. Removing aluminum is particularly important for our brains. The good news is that the silica in Fiji water bonds with the aluminum and removes it through our urine from our brains and bodies. It was researchers in the United Kingdom who discovered this, and it currently being researched for confirmation by the US National Institute of Health. Silica can also help strengthen our bones, hair and nails, improve our skin, and is important to our immune system and overall health in other ways. I've started trying to drink the recommended about of about 1 liter of Fiji Water every day, and you may want to give it a try, too. @DeborahDiane thank you, here the water only comes from the mountains and from the ground maybe if my country imports a wide range of brands including Fiji I will be able to try it.

@May2k8 - As long as you stay healthy with the water you drink, that is the important thing!

@May2k8 - You may find another brand which contains silica. In some places, their tap water even had silica in it, if the water comes from an area where there is a lot of lava above the aquifer.

I never realized that water is different. Thank you for sharing. But I doubt we sell this kind of water here. Next time I go to the supermarket, I will have a look.

@caopaopao - You may have some other brand of water with silicon in it. You may want to do a little research and see. I know that there are other brands which are sold in Europe and someone in India said that the water in their community is high is silicon. There may be other ways to get this important mineral, and that could be good for your health!

@just4him - I think it is a very healthy choice. I just feel bad that it means I am using more plastic bottles than normal. I hope they come up with an alternative container.

@just4him - Yes, you make a good point. In addition, they do not allow glass containers of any kind at the beach, to avoid a situation where someone steps barefoot on broken glass. However, our family is always careful to pick up the trash we create and take it home with us, or dispose it in a special beach trash can with a lid on it.

@DeborahDiane I know everyone seems to be up in arms about plastic, but it beats glass bottles. I'm always afraid I'm going to break those and have a huge mess on my hands. I'd rather have plastic.

@rakski - Yes, do some research and see if you can find a water which is high is silicon. It is water that has been filtered naturally through lava so, since you live on an island, your local water might already be high in silicon.
