Wow, where are you heading? I hope you enjoy and safe travel to you. They weigh the bags upon check in so if it is more than 7 kilos then you really have to pay for the excess but what you can do is you can have some of your friends baggage too with your baggage so you will have to pay one time payment only.

Those baggage fees are ridiculous.

Its exciting to go abroad. I will advise you about your bag, they will weigh it so there is no way you will run away from that. Be prepared to pay

I am really pleased that you have now been on your first trip abroad. Hopefully you will have a few more flights on budget airlines from the Philippines. I think 7 kg hand luggage per person is a very low allowance indeed. We got charged excess baggage fees at Cebu Airport. These days some people wear their luggage like have a jacket on with lots of roomy pockets. We have one bag each plus a medical bag which Air Asia not like.

Hopefully all will go well for you. I have never been abroad but, I keep hope and just keep getting older. Haha
