Its a Mary Poppins kind of word. I gleaned it from Dana White's book, Decluttering at the Speed of Life. Whats it mean to me personally, in my here and now? It means to me that washing dishes then leaving them to dry and putting them away in five days is clutter. I procrastinated. Grinding wheat into flour and then NOT putting that flour into its proper jar and then into the freezer, yup, I procrastinated. More clutter. The photo shows that I CAN declutter. I CAN put some polish into my house. My house is my biggest container. The dresser has a story: it possibly was made by my namesake's husband, back around 1920. Time to get to figuring this stuff out.

Wow, nice piece of furniture. Now if only I'd get off my duff and do some dishes ..... ahhh well, it's not like they'll die if I don't hop to it, right?

Hi Lenore. Trust me when I say that I procrastinate when it comes to decluttering. But when I get the butt off, for sure my house will look brand new. Haha

I have had most rooms in my bungalow redecorated. I am trying to clear away any clutter over the next couple of weeks. We had six shelves taken off our lounge walls. I wish to rehouse any ornaments that used to be on my shelves which are now gone. My dustbin is full and they won't come to collect the rubbish for another 10 days. My car won't start so I can't go to the dump. I like the dresser and its story.

@maximax8 Can you sneak over to a neighbor's dustbin and accidentally put your stuff in there? I'm sorry your car won't start. Good luck on the redecorating.

I am the royal procrastinator and my daughter takes well after me. We have a housecleaning walk through in four days and I am on here, Cami is on her period and laying out. So we are really getting after it.
