Germany are out!!

Germany are out of the World Cup! They were beaten by a poor South Korean side 2-0. Germany were awful. Sweden beat Mexico to go through with the Mexicans.
The last three champions of the world have all been knocked out in the group stages in the following World Cup, Brazil and Italy are the only two nations to defend the World Cup. Germany have been in 8 finals and lost 4.The last 9 World Cups they have made the Q/Fs and 7 Semi finals.Since the War this is just the second time they didn't make the Q/F., 15 out of 17 tournaments.
In the other group Brazil cruised through 2-0 to win the group with Switzerland beating Costa Rica for the other slot. Neymar again was a big show off and so selfish it disrupts the way Brazil play. But he scores most of their goals and makes a lot of assists and so it goes on. Like Ronald in his younger days he just wont pass it and it costs Brazil goals. They wont win it this year.

Yesterday morning I was on Skype with my friend and he told me he has no hope that their country, South Korea, would win the game. I'm pretty sure he was shocked when they did. I will have to ask him about that on Monday when he comes back from his business trip. I'm sure he and his wife enjoyed watching the game.

Yes a shock defeat for Germany. They have been such a dominant force in the world of Football and their fans must be heart broken !

I wasn't at home during the South Korean - Germany match, so I didn't watch it. But I read the news and my boyfriend's first sentence was this when I arrived home. It is shocking.
