Red Sky At Night...

You will probably see the image above and think I am colorblind. I do realize that these colors are a blue and gray.
Earlier I saw that the sky was a beautiful reddish hue. I jumped up and went outside but by the time I got out there the sky was more dark blue gray than anything. I decided to find this picture that I took a few years ago and post it here instead. I am pretty sure this was just after getting home from a trip to the grocery store. I had noticed that the clouds were really angry whilst loading the groceries in the car.
I remarked to family that a tornado might be near by. I wasn't wrong.
I have also taken pictures of a very firey red sky but I couldn't find those.
As my facebook friends might tell you, I do love taking pictures of the sky. Or atleast I did. I haven't taken any to share in quite a long time.

I took this one tonight. I love photographing the sky too. Sometimes it catches me off guard. I take my phone camera with me everywhere.

That's beautiful. There are trees outside my window so that I can only see part of the sky. By the time I noticed it was red, the red was nearly above the treetops. There was a small red cloud off to the other side but it wasn't worth snapping a picture of.
I love when the sun is sinking behind the clouds.

@ScribbledAdNauseum So do I. Some of the most gorgeous sunsets I've ever photographed were on West Coast of North America with a combination of sky, clouds, ocean and mountains.

In all the storms that have come after this one, I don't think I have seen such a pretty sky as this.

I can see a slight reddish hue in the upper right corner. Those reds that happen at sunset are so hard to capture sometimes.

If you're like me then you'll have to devote at least 3 hours hunting to find it @ScribbledAdNauseum I used to take pictures all the time but in the last year I haven't been that interested .... very odd for me.

I see the hue you are talking about. I hadn't even noticed that before. I haven't caught any redness in the sky lately. I need to find the pictures of the really red sky I took a few years ago.

@rebelann I think I must have gotten rid of it or else it's somewhere else. I've just did a cursory look at where I thought it was and it wasn't there.
I used to take lots of pictures of nature as well but I just stopped. I wouldn't say I lost interest. I did take a million pictures of the snow.

A friend and I are constantly sending pictures of the sky to each other. I took a few photos the other day of the sky before it began to pour down with rain.

They always said that red clouds at night will mean that it will rain in the night.

@LadyDuck I don't wake up early enough to see the sunrise. I used to work third shift and now that I don't work at all, I like to keep my own hours. 1 am to sleep and 10 am to wake.

A friend and I will take pictures of the sky and send them to one another. I remarked last night that I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the red sky and she sent me one from her point of view.

I agree. I've seen different shapes in the clouds, different colors as well. I do love looking at the sky.

That is what I used here, a camera phone. I have a regular camera but the camera is older and it has stopped charging properly.

I just love skies before a storm rolls in. The other day a bad storm kicked up here. We were on our way home from eating out and decided we wanted an extra treat. We had to go to another town to get that and the clouds started moving in. It was raining buckets before we could even get into the house.
I am sure I looked a sight trying to run in flip flops.

Right now it's about 3:35 pm, and it's a Saturday still. Took this picture of the sky. Usually when there's a pinkish color sky at sunset the next day is sunny.

@oahuwriter Yes very much so. I went out today for a bit and saw a lot of beautiful blue skies and fluffy clouds.

I believe it is supposed to be sunny here tomorrow as well. I still have to put some things down for our city to collect in the bulky items pickup. It was very hot here today so I didn't stay out too long during the day.

@Jessabuma We have a covered front porch. The rain doesn't really get in. I need to clean the porch again and set it up so that I can watch the storms when they are in.

My camera (my phone) isn't always the best either. This was taken on a phone I no longer have.
