Home grown tomatoes!

What can be more delicious? We're getting our first tomatoes from the garden and I'm already preparing for BLT's.
Got a fresh head of lettuce today, already have plenty of bacon and mayo.
Can't wait...do you like BLT's? The tomatoes in the grocery store are usually awful, but fresh from the garden?

Sure. But I suspect they might not travel well that far! Do you ever get home grown tomatoes there?

@1creekgirl Its very hard, I can't eat Mexican or Italian restaurants, we actually don't eat out much at all.

I planted my garden late this year so we won't get tomatoes until August this year, if at all. Tomato blight fungus usually gets them. We shall see.
I love BLTs. One of my absolute favorite sandwiches and I normally don't even like tomatoes.

Hopefully, your tomatoes will do well this year. Sometimes we have whatever that white ring is just inside the skin, but so far, so good.

Oh, I love home grown tomatoes. I really wish we had some planted this year. I love a BLT or even just a tomato sandwich alone. I am drooling right now.

They really look very good in the picture. During the summer I made cucumber salad and bought tomatoes to put in it and they were good. I bought cottage cheese and love putting tomatoes in that when I eat it.

@1creekgirl Right now I have lettuce, spinach, mint, corriander, fenugreek, mustard green, sweet potatoes, bitter gourd, spring onion, garlic, radish, carrot, beet root and beans.

I'm sorry, I forget sometimes that I'm not talking to Americans. BLT is a fried bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. Best with mayonnaise and fresh, soft white bread.

You can't beat the flavour of tomatoes fresh from the garden. BLTs are the best if the ingredients are fresh.
