Some Things Are Beyond Amazing!!!

OK, this has to be one of the greatest things I've ever read! I found a few short stories among the Lee Hays Papers that Lee wrote when he was 9 years old (1923). They are better than most of the things adults write these days. The kid had talent!!!!! What amazes me is that in his later writings, he comments on how he felt he failed at everything he did, and would anyone remember his name? It's 2018, and I'm sitting here reading his 95 year old stories on a hand held device that has more computing power than the rocket in which they sent a man to walk on the moon, and at the same time, on the very same device, I'm listening to his music, (song he wrote and sung) through a pair of wireless headphones. You're all sitting here reading this post right now. I thank God every day for the amazing people who have gone before me, and the amazing technology available for me to access their ORIGINAL work.

And to think that three or so generations further our world will be considered old-fashioned and 'behind the moon' as the Germans say!

I bet it won't even take that long!!!! Things are moving faster and faster. My biggest fear is that people won't give a dang where they came from, and how they got where they got. I don't want history to be forgotten. I love modern technology, but mostly use it for educational purposes. I want to know where we all came from. As for music, it was much better in the earlier part of the 20th century than it is now. If you wonder who Lee Hays is, look for music by The Weavers. He was their bass singer.

Sounds interesting. I too like to read literature from many years past. I will look up Lee Hays.
