Children/Infant Immunisations

My son just had his six month old immunisations. We both cried. I know all the info to give him lots of fluids, check his temperature doesnt go above 37.5, and so forth, but he is just all over the place. I cuddle him to the cows come home, but he won't sleep, won't play, won't do anything. Is this normal? When should I worry? First time mum here, what are others experiences with childrens immunisations?

its perfectly normal for the child to be irritable and cry. or even have slight to high fever. every time a child is immunised, all these are certain common occurences. its natural to worry if you are a first time mom.. just relax.. your boy will be fine in a day or two...

I think the only thing you need to be worried about is his temperature. Make sure he is not vomiting a lot or have diarehea. He could get dehydrated easy.

have you given him some Tylenol or Motrin, that might help him to sleep, i would call your doctor if things don't get better by tomorrow. hope you and your baby are OK.

all babies act diferently after shots my son does not sleep after he gets his shots.my daughter on other hand sleeps forever if your son is not acting right i would take him to the doctors especially if he is sick and is not doing anything.
