Zippidy Doo Dah, Zippidy Aaayyy...........

Boobear in 2014, thankfully the screen in the window wasn't busted yet. I took this with a Nikon.

I am so happy, it actually rained for almost 10 minutes .... I know, it doesn't sound like much but I'm just happy we got that much. As for that lightening, well, I'd sure like to send that off somewhere else but at least it hasn't knocked the power out yet, that's a plus. Boobear was in her window seat back in 2014 but she kept pushing at the window screen until it finally tore, now she doesn't have a window seat anymore. Just another thing I can use duct tape to fix one day. Are you getting rain too?

Today is going to be the hottest day of the week. No rain for tomorrow and Monday, but almost sure that we are having rain Tuesday and Wednesday.

It is so funny how each region is so different in reference to the heat of spring and summer, here the hottest days are over but it will still rise to about 38(c) from time to time but mostly it will be around 35(c), that's not too hot for me. I'm glad your finally getting some sunshine and hopefully that weather person is correct about predicting more rain for my region.

@rebelann It is 38 Celsius today, very unusual for us, do not forget that nobody has A/C here, one more reason to be happy for the rain. My fan is running and I am very fine inside the house. Thanks God hour houses are very well insulated.

We are having some hot weather here in NJ this weekend. We have been having quite a bit of rain before then. It would be great if every part of the country got equal amounts of weather. That duct tape is a great repairer. I just used some to repair the bottom of my waste basket.

I heard about the heat up your way, yikes cuz you also have the high humidity. It's actually cool here at only about 86(f) and it's not supposed to get over 98 today, it's a desert here so temperatures usually go well over 95 through the spring and summer months anyway.

Rain started here on July 4th and we got rain every day since (except none today yet). It is still wet outside. I am glad because normally we are headed into a drought right about now.

I'm glad the drought doesn't seem to be coming your way. The drought here ended last year but it is already drying out again. I never know if it will be the start of a major drought or just a year of low rain fall. Many time the droughts here last anywhere from 5 to 10 years.

@rebelann Droughts are scary. Water is the most important resource on earth. I wish more people would realize this.

I agree @Shellyann36 the worst part is that even though our water table isn't growing our population is and those that come here want swimming pools ..... which depletes our water supply ..... and have no respect for my beautiful desert and it's inhabitants.

We got a nice soaking and now we have no rain due until Tuesday and yes, with thunder and lightening.

I think you get that lightening a lot worse than we do and I know it happens there more often. At least you won't have to water your lawn.

And you have an honest to God lawn @BelleStarr heck, I'm happy with the few patches of bermuda grass that grows, otherwise it's all pretty much just plain old clay like dirt.

@rebelann We never water our lawn, the trees shade it and usually it doesn't turn yellow until August if we have a really bad month. We normally get enough rain in this part of New England to not make that necessary.

I hope sunshine is what you were hoping for have are getting. Supposedly this time of year is what the weather people here call our monsoon season, not that we get a lot of rain but whatever rain we do get usually falls around this time of year. I'm hoping we get more than 4" of rain this year.

We have the possibility of heavy rain after midnight tonight, with a low to moderate chance of a tornado. I don't see the tornado happening.

I hope you don't get a tornado, those things are so scary. Maybe you'll get a little sunshine and not too much humidity.

We have opposite problems @just4him We've had sunny hot days since the last week of May with temps ranging from 98 to 108 but very low humidity. Yesterday was the first day we've had an overcast day since June 3rd but on June 3rd the clouds were gone before 1pm.

@rebelann You make me laugh. A little sunshine - that's all we've had since yesterday. The clouds are still a long way from rolling in. We will have high humidity until fall now. I'm not expecting a tornado, but I guess the conditions are ripe for one so they need to put the possibility out there for it.
