Today I Have Appointed Myself as a Couch Potato

Being inside in air conditioning gives one the perception that it's not a hot out as the forecasters say.
I've been busy around the house today with little things that need to get done and one was dust moping my hardwood floors. I have a very nice long handled dust mop that does wonders for a quick spruce. When I opened the door to step outside and shake out the mop the heat hit me like a ton of bricks.
The forecast was right!! It's darn HOT here today.
Since my morning chores are done I've decided the best place for me to be this afternoon is sitting on the couch and doing nothing much except reading, myLotting and maybe watching some tv.
The only place I would enjoy this heat would be at the beach. Since there's no chance of that happening I'm content to enjoy the a/c and forget about the cost of running it during this heat wave.

I am going to get a pizza and I will go to the lake when the sun starts to set..It doesn't seem to be quite as hot here as it is other places.

Same here. Once it gets too hot there isn't much choice but to stay in air conditioning

It is a lazy day for me also. I'm like you....air conditioning makes me think that is isn't at hot out as it really is. But then when I do have to go outside.....hooboy it's hot out there!!!

At the moment I am still in my jammies in an air-conditioned house. I need to bake the potatoes and cook the turnovers to bring to my friend's house for dinner. I am looking forward to seeing my friends but going out of the house, not so much!!

@Marilynda1225 Actually we did eat outside and it was surprisingly lovely. The temp at 10 p.m. was 77 so it may have been in the low 80s but it was perfect outside.

I got the laundry done early while I could still drive the car without being roasted alive in it. Now, I'm inside. I just turned off my A/C a little while ago. It got so cold in here the heat came on. I turned the thermostat down a bit further and all's good once again. I also have the A/C off for now.

I am also spending most of my days like that since last three days. My mom in law is in hospital and as an attendant, I have got a couch to myself next to her in the AC room. I am spending my time reading, writing and mylotting whenever the Internet signal is good.
But spending the night on the couch does hurt
