If there is one thing that Hillsborough Sheriff's Office (HCSO) Deputy Matt Patellis is happy with doing his job to serve and protect the citizens of his community is the great feeling he received when he rescued a male boxer dog named "Cody" ont Wednesday. Cody's owner called the HCSO to report the incident in Lutz Florida that her dog was crying for help as he was stuck in a swampy lake. Officer Patellis answered the call to make an attempt to rescue Cody from either drowning in the swampy lake or a gator eat the dog. Officer Patellis was able to get Cody out of the swampy lake safe and sound. On Thursday Cody showed his appreciation to Officer Patellis by showering him with affection.

I am sure the police force in Florida and perhaps in Louisiana as well have to have extra knowledge on traversing gator infested waters. I'm glad he was able to save the dog and I am sure the owner was over the moon.

Me too since just hearing a dog whine that he is in trouble is enough for any police officer to take action and save the pet.

That seems to be the case when a dog enters an icy lake or a swamp lake.
