My gross weekend : Part 1

Friday my daughter wanted to go out and do something so I bagged up all the cans collecting in the cellar for the past two years and took them to a redemption place. I received $32.40. We shopped a little and made some returns as well as took my sons school books to ups to be returned. Our last stop before heading home was to an ice cream shop where my daughter got a gelati. A gelati is in a cup with layers of flavored Italian ice and ice cream. On the way home I stopped and got my boyfriends dog and son. My boyfriend was going to his grandmothers house after work to put in an air conditioner then he came to my house at night. He then sat outside for drinking beer and when he peed in the woods my dog got it on her when she ran up to see what it was. The dogs stayed outside with him for hours and I kept asking him to bathe my dog but he wouldn’t. About 10:30pm they came in and I washed her myself and went to bed furious. He said I was being ridiculous about having to wash her. I think he’s just disgusting how uncleanly he is.

That is awful, why would he pee on the dog, couldn't he have stopped when the dog came up and why is he peeing outside anyway. Does he not know where the bathroom is??

@cintol He was drinking outside and rather then come inside to go he was peeing in the edge of the yard. When we went hiking and he was peeing my dog ran right up again. That time she didn't get any on her but I think washing her after being peed on is a normal reaction.

@shaggin Yes, I would have washed her as well. Who wouldn't wash their dog after that?

They give 6 cents per can at this place. I filled most of the back of my van. I was so mad at my boyfriend when I went to bed but was over it when I woke up.

@Courtlynn The Dunkin donuts were pretty good for making it up to me. Plus today it was 91° outside and after working all day he came here and rototilled my garden for me. I'd say he made up for it

That's an unusual story! Poor dog. I'm glad she got a nice bath.

@shaggin Its just common sense. The dog will come back into the house with or without urine all over him. I would prefer without!

@infatuatedbby yeah I was furious over it but at least I woke up and wasn't mad anymore. I was just tired and wanted him to clean her since it was his fault.

You certainly needed to redeem all those cans! Wow! I don't blame you for washing the dog. I would have done the exact same thing, too. Ewww!

@DianneN They were in small bags piling up in my cellar for two years. It out them in larger bags and took them to redeem. It took up the majority of the back of my van.

@DianneN I would just put them out for recycling if I had to do that. To many trips there would make all the money earned go to gas and not be worthwhile at all.

@shaggin Thank goodness you had a van! I'd have to make trip after trip if that happened to me.

No, that's not ridiculous, I would have done the same if it were my dog, and if I were the dog, I would be relieved that you bathed me. Smart idea, besides, whatever surfaces the dog comes into contact with, would get that urine smell on them. And that's not nice.

@Juliaacv I'm so glad to hear others here feel the same way. I bet if I had written about it on Facebook people would agree with me and then I could show him how gross he is instead of me being crazy! But he would have gotten mad if I did that lol and I don't tell him about mylot.

@sol_cee sure was. Over 500 cans and 6 cents for each one. I should try to go at least once a year from now on just so my cellar doesn't get so full of them.
