Is this an apology?

I'm sorry I thought you were a scum sucking leech. Does that sound like an apology? If it is, I think it has to be the worst one I have ever heard. I don't really know how to take that. What is the worst apology you have ever gotten? Or, what is the worst apology you have ever given? I have to admit, this "apology" offends me more than what the person originally did.

LOL, that is just.... I thought I had a weird life. I would have replied if I were a leech I would suck scum before I would suck the blood of you.

This is not an apology at all - at least not in my book. I'd be offended too.

For me that's not a sincere apology, it sounds like an insult ..

I hope this abuse is not from whom I think it may be from. I am so sorry anyone in your life can say something like this, though.

I'm pretty sure your guess is correct. It took me completely off guard.

I don't like apologies that are insincere..like they say I'm very sorry, and they are actually being sarcastic.

What a creative way of apologising, one that I would never ever accept.

if there's a backhanded compliment, then that has to be a backhanded apology. well, at least you know now what they really thought of you all along. it changes the way you think about them, too.

uhm.. wow yeah that would offend me. Sure, they may realize you aren't what they thought but the fact that they THOUGHT you were.. Yeah I'd be more offended too. I can't think of any worse apology I've ever gotten.

Exactly. My first thought was, how did your mind go there in the first place?

@ScribbledAdNauseum I guess she's had a lot of resentment pent up.

@AmbiePam It definitely sounds as if there was a lot of passion behind an insult like that.

Oh no, that isn't an apology so much as it is an insult. Shame on that person for even going there.

I wonder if they realize what they reveal about themselves when they say stuff like that.

Well, that apology would warrant a nice slap in my neck of the woods. I don't understand why someone would say this unless they just absolutely hated the person they were talking to.

That is the most abusive 'apology' I have heard in a while I cannot recall any apology that will match with this one

Oh dear. Were there any other qualifiers? Anything written after that statement ? I mean, cause - whatever was said or written after would have to be pretty good to make up for it. It seems more like an insult.
