I cam across this information while watching an episode on tv. India has families where this business thrives openly in that every girl child in the family is openly offered for prostitution. The elders in the family get customers. And strangely girlls welcome this profession They are proud to call it their tradition. It is passed down generations.

@rakski I am not sure how much "all" of them are suffering. Since they grew in that environment, they might not know any better so they pretty much might be adapted to that living.

@Daelii What society teaches them fades into insignificance as they grow in an environment where it is considered a family tradition.

@allknowing I wonder if STD never happened to them? or that the women there ever (one day) sat there and thought, 'how come my male relatives don't pull their weight?'. I wonder too about if they ever read or use internet to understand about the world around them?

That is truly sad for those poor innocent girls. However, as you said, it's the family business and that's what they know and do best.

It is really a very bad tradition. This should not be encouraged. There are so many good ways to earn money. It is really a very shameful thing.
