I can’t bend

… but don’t worry. I haven’t injured myself. It is just that it has been so cold the last few days, we’ve taken to wearing almost all the clothes we have with the result that I feel it is a real effort to bend in any direction.
We had two nights free-camping. We have plenty of blankets and once in bed it was cosy enough but getting up and dressed in the morning had our teeth chattering again. Tonight is our second night in a paid site and we’ve had the heater on so we’re snug for the moment. I’m not sure where we’ll be tomorrow and whether we’ll free-camp or not but maybe comfort will win out over economy and we’ll pay to be able to have power and heat.
The photo is me holding up a big boulder on the way to the Wineglass Bay lookout in Tasmania. I hope those of you who are in their summer season are enjoying some fine, sunny weather.

You are responsible for holding that bolder up now forever. If it should fall and wipe out a campground five years from now, it will be because @JudyEv walked away in 2018.

Aren't you exhausted from holding up that boulder?

It really enjoyed reading about your trip. The free camping was amusing to find out about. I went to Western Australia in the winter and some nights it was very cold. I had to wear a coat and I wished to have a hot water bottle. Though in the day I had hot weather so it was strange it was cold in the night. I live in hot and sunny South West of the UK. It is too hot at the moment.

That's nice that you've been to Western Australia. The nights can be cold there too.

@hereandthere He 'loses' me from time to time and seems to think I might run off completely. But if I have my beanie on he can find me and knows I haven't run away.

I would happily share some of our 'fine summer weather' with you right now, Judy! The thermometer on our front porch read 111 degrees (F) a couple of days ago. (43.88 degrees (C)) But only if you send some of that nice cooler temperatures back to me, please!
If you aren't careful, pushing on that boulder, it will make you bend, whether you want to or not!

@JudyEv Missouri has standing and running water everywhere! It is very humid here!
You and Vince are welcome to come travel the United States, you know. I'd be pleased to meet you in person.

@DaddyEvil Thank you. That's a very kind thing to say. Because our son lives in Ireland the pull is always to that part of the world and I don't think we'll have enough years left to get to the USA, more's the pity.
And humid is just the pits, isn't it?

@JudyEv I remember when we visited a aunt of my husband who lived in a village in the mountains. There was a heater in the bedroom that we turned off during the night for safety reasons. It was horrible to get out of the bed in the morning.

I will send some warmth your way. about 15 farenheit degrees worth should help both of us a lot.

When we get home around the middle/end of July, it will be the coldest part of our year.

Are you on the way home? Heard in the news a while ago, some kids just vandalized some similar rocks (landmarks) somewhere in either UK or in NZ, can't remember where. by removing a few small stones at the base. They then push with all their might, and that was it, gone a few hundred years old landmark down the cliff! (Your photo reminded me of that news , that shattered rock was of similar size.)

Hi Judy. That is too big! I thought it was huge dinosaur head like the one in "Land Before Time" movie.

It's just the opposite here with soaring temperatures. It seems weird that you are all bundled up while we are sweating.
Awesome picture!!!

It seems much of America is sweating at the moment. I brought a few T-shirts with me on the trip but they're packed away under the bed. I doubt I'm going to need them on this trip.
