In the quarter finals of World Cup 2018 there are 4 former champions.

July 3, 2018 7:57pm CST
Brazil won world cup 5 times, Uruguay won it 2 times, England and France won it once each. In the list of 8 teams who qualified for quarter finals of World Cup, these teams were former champions. Sweden, Belgium, Russia and Croatia never won any world cup. If any of them lift the trophy it will be surprise. The quarter finals will be interesting.

I think this time there are many surprises. Such as Germany is not qualified to the final 16. I wonder whether Croatia will win it at last as it seems it is a very strong new team. I will see whether it keeps on giving me more surprises.

France and Belgium are in the semi-finals. It is interesting to see if England and Croatia can also qualify.

Thanks Summerishere, for the first time there will be semi-final with all 4 European teams. All the South American teams have lost and are out of the tournament.

@mrki444 Thanks Mrki Mrki, yes I remember. In that world cup Suker got golden boot. He scored 6 goals in the World cup. In this world cup Harry Kane of England scored 6 goals and has chance of winnning the golden boot.
