Hubby may have a job

There is a car dealership with lots of lots around the state. They need someone to move cars between the lots on occasion.
I saw the ad, hubby applied.
July 11 he will go for a pre employment urinalysis. They do that especially for driving jobs to make sure people do not do drugs or drink.
Wish him luck.

No, he does not need a special license for this job. In the US it is called a CDL and you can get class A or B plus extra endorsements. I had one when I drove buses.

@hereandthYes I did when I was doing it. It was a lot of fun and sometimes they paid for my meals if I was doing long distance.

Oh, good. I am hoping he is a little busy but not overwhelmingly. They have had their office manager doing it and need someone else. She cannot manage an office and deliver cars.

Good luck. How many miles will he have to drive on a given day do you know?
I wonder if everyone here will understand your "lots of lots" ? I know you mean lots of car lots but not sure how "car lot" is translated in other languages.

Lots of car lots is a thought. Maybe I should have said many locations. I know many people, if they do not understand, will ask. They did not have any details on how much or how far daily. I have known people who delivered out of state, but they said that is not what this job is about.

@GardenGerty I've had people recently not understand and assume. Not that that matters as it's easy enough to clarify for them. I just know some here get very sore if we as native english speakers correct them.
Well atleast he wouldn't be working (delivering) out of State.

@LadyDuck I can understand that being practical. I remember when teachers were required to retire at 65.

If his health checks out it should not be a problem with his age.

He went out immediately to apply when I saw the posting. It went well. I am not sure how soon they will have him work, though.

That is appreciated. He would not mind a few prayers for the best outcome, too.

They are not anticipating any late nights or overnights for this one. I have known of others that did have to travel more.

The circumstances of an accident would have some bearing on being hired. You really never know what you will see posted.
