The Gift Of Marriage

I got married in my late 20s and I thought all the while that I won’t be able to marry anymore since I also thought that good men were already tied up with someone else. I gave up that certain kind of magic I believed existed. But God proved me wrong. It was a whirlwind romance. I had already known him since we were a child because we live at the same block. When we met, I never thought that it was already him I was going to end up with. We got married in a civil wedding ceremony after 6 months of going steady and had our church wedding after a year. Our marriage is not the one which is made in heaven because we do all have our own differences. We are on our 18th year of a blissful marriage and gifted with three beautiful children. God showed me that time does not matter in finding the one who is meant for you. If only you would listen, God has His own plans for you, for us. Lucky are the ones who ended up with the person that they truly love but luckier are those people who found out that the one they ended up with would not turn out to be a nightmare.

Wow. 18th year anniversary? That is considered long. But I am happy for you. I hope my husband and I would last that long and more more years to come.

I think your marriage is working out well. There are some ended up to separation despite being together for so many years.

That is right! We only traveled when we celebrated her 18th birthday. We went to Cebu, Bohol and Siargao.

Congratulations on making it for so long. These years it is quite hard to find a serious relationship because courting is almost non existent

You have a cute romance there. I look back at times, and I would run rather then having anything to do with any guys from the same year as I, all those years ago. You are lucky.
