Race reservations ... not a solution?

I know many here do not like Trump. I also should not. He has started those trade wars which have resulted in dollar zooming, petrol zooming and stocks falling. LOL
That said, he does make sense to me in many ways.
In India we have reservations ..based on caste, and religion.
The problem is, reservations are promised by politicians.
What happens is, the same family keeps on getting benefits generation after the other. In the process the caste seems to be backward forever.
Within the caste, or religion, there should be merit based selection.
Once the family cashes in the reservation benefit, it ceases to be eligible for reservations forever.
After all others in the community too need to come up.
And the argument of merit not getting due recognition will cease because the competition within the caste will force people to study better.
Based on data there should be fixed number of years for such reservations for a caste/ religion. Then the caste goes out of the list since each family would have received required support.
Definition of family should be clarified, and include siblings, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, parents, children, spouses.

I prefer to think that all human beings are like a famil. If there is someone with a problem, the rst should help out.

@marguicha .. I agree about that. But that said, there needs to be a way in which those who are not ignorant and not disabled are not exploited and overworked in a way that others who are shrewd claim to be ignorant and enjoy the tax benefits. Don't you think? In our country less than 30 percent people pay taxes, while more than 50 percent own cars. How is it possible? Simple..tax evasion. So the 30 percent keep on paying taxes, while others enjoy it.

hello, my friend its a big issue of caste in our country where same people get a benefit and there is a lot of advantage to that people so what happens that now they are getting more advantage in all field. currently, most of the people are now become rich and open caste are now become poor haha.

@vandana7 yes because now what happens that people who really deserve will not get that opportunity and people who don't deserve will get it so due to it our country will go more behind. reservation depends on not caste but on current situation so people only who need can only take advantage.

What Trumps wants to do is to bring back jobs to America. But if we are paying others to make stuff for us, we have become just the middle man and selling it all to the consumer, meaning me.
When I was a little girl the USA made most all of the stuff we need to live with. I really don`t see why we stopped in the first place.
We have oil wells, we can do the whole pipe shops and sewing factories.
I do see how he wants the USA to be, back like it used to be self sufficient.

For once, somebody understands Trump. 
I am not saying he is right on all counts, and he is certainly disgusting as far as his attitude towards women is concerned. In so far as my country is concerned, he deserves to be spanked for sanctions against Iran. All that said, he is doing real good for America. Given another term, he could sort out all medical woes and food stamps and other woes. There is too much flab everywhere, which can only be removed by somebody who is brave enough to do it. He does not give a damn about whether he will win the next elections, does he? That is doing good to the nation.
