I am selling something...but I won't tell you what it is

I use pictures from old magazines in my art, and sometimes I visit the sites where people sell second hand things. Last time I found an ad that consisted of one sentence: ”I am selling some old magazines” The person behind the ad didn't tell us the names of the magazines, how old they are or how many there are. If I don't know how many magazines there are I don't know if the price is acceptable. It could be a bargain or it could much too expensive. Of course it isn't a big problem. I can send her a message and ask for more information. I just don't understand why some people think it is possible to sell something if they don't even describe what they want to sell. Maybe I should just tell her :”Okay, I'll buy whatever you have” and get a surprise in the mail

Her lack of clarification within the listing makes me think the subject matter of the magazines are touchy. I have come across listings where I don't have enough information and I often pass these listings by.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That response is missing. It doesn't show up when I open the discussion, but I can see the other responses

@Porcospino Rakski has also responded. At the time of me posting this, it says she posted her response 55 minutes ago. She says "Really? How can you sell something if the butter had no idea of what to buy"

@Porcospino That doesn't make any sense. Unless she has blocked you? I think if she has blocked you, she can still respond to your discussions but you won't see it. Of course it could also be a glitch.

Porcospino can not see this response. Could you check to see if you have them blocked?

Perhaps this seller is very lazy. She even expects that her old magazines can be sold and therefore she won't spend longer time to take photos and write a description about them.

Some people are weird for sure. I could sell a hundred old magazine from the 50s for 50$ and it's not expensive, but if the magazines are only 10 it's not worth buying.

@Porcospino Of course the buyers need to know if those are sport magazine, or fashion or what else.

I don't understand why she didn't describe her magazines at all. I think that it will be hard to find a buyer if people don't know what they are buying

Me too. It could be anything, it is hard to know when she doesn't add any details at all.

"Old magazines." We have no idea what they are. It could be a treasure or it could be junk but the description tells very little. You should ask for a bit more information.

Yes, it is really hard to know what kind of magazines she is selling when she doesn't mention the names etc. "Old magazines" could be anything, The magazines could be two years old or they could be much older.
