Not funny Fourth of July fireworks

I looked out our front window last night cause I heard sirens. Not at all normal to hear sirens. Fire trucks with tanks zipping up the road down below. OH crud.
I went to Facebook. Yup. Just down the line from me and mine: somebody and their fireworks had lit up a field and set it on fire. The folks down there have horses etc and were not amused. Thank you!! to the fire personnel for putting the fire out and keeping everyone safe.
I put the dogs into the dark, window free bathroom and let them cool their jets for a couple of hours. It was actually pretty quiet here but the pretty lights make the dogs bark so into the bathroom where they slept and didn't know what was going on.
I got up this morning to discover new fireworks news: next town over, a family had had some legal fireworks fun in their backyard. They thought the fireworks were out and everything was fine. They went into the house. Still hot embers from those fireworks blew over to their neighbors and yup. The neighbors house went up- NO house left now. The neighbors were NOT home so they are safe though deeply upset, I am sure. Their dog??? Dog was home. Rest in peace, little fella. Can you tell that I am not fond of fireworks?

No doubt it is.... :) Do you know in my country there is a festival called Diwali.... It's all about fireworks and lights.... :)

How sad for the family who just lost their precious pup. I hope they sue those idiots for all they're worth, if someone is stupid enough to play with fireworks then they must pay the price if they are at fault for someone else's misery.
Yeah, I hate fireworks.

@rebelann Thank God the fire fighters got the fire out that was near me. You know what?? Cause the Fourth is on a Wednesday this year, well, smart town near me is going to have a fireworks display this coming Saturday night. Oh toothpicks. Guess I will put the pups back into the bathroom this coming Saturday night.

Oh how sad! We've been hearing A LOT of fireworks in the neighborhood since a couple weeks ago - they are completely illegal here, yet we seem to be hearing more and more booms (before and after the 4th) each year. I don't doubt a lot of animals are not doing well with it all.

I love fireworks but people have to be careful with them. Sadly many are not.

I love watching fireworks but this is also a disadvantages of fireworks, it can create fire.
