Went Shopping This Morning

Shopping,

I needed quite a few items from the grocery store this morning and I went before it got too hot. First, I went to the drugstore for a few items and then walked two door down and went for grocery shopping. It was "artic cold" in the store and it is a good thing that I had the brain to bring my Spring jacket with me, otherwise I would have freeze on the spot. Thankfully, I made it in good time and I am very, very glad to be back at home.

We went today for the annual oil change for the car and I stopped at Aldi on the way back. They had a sale of Lindt chocolate , well I bought.

And I am not surprised at all that you bought the Lindt chocolate. I probably would have bought it also. How do you keep the chocolate from melting?

@marlina I have placed the chocolate downstairs in the Atomic Shelter The temperature inside the shelter is never more than 18/19 degrees Celsius, it's perfect to keep the chocolate.

@LovingMyBabies , Where have you been? I have Raynaud's Syndrome, so I know about taking precautions.

@marlina Oh that's right, I know you have mentioned that before. I am anemic so I'm usually cold as well. I have been focusing on my spiritual walk/relationship with God. =)

Those stores make me happy to get outside and warm up again. I never remember to bring a jacket, and always freeze. Getting back out in the hot muggy air feels good for a few minutes. Just long enough to get the ice defrosted from my fingers and toes so I can move again.

@just4him, I have to ask the cashier to call someone to help me out packing as it is too hard with my "navy blue fingers".

In the frozen area where most are meat is very freezing. No issue for me because I always wear my long sleeves.

@JustBhem , Here, the whole grocery store is frozen, not just the meat section.

@JustBhem I wonder why they keep the whole store frozen in my area?

@marlina I see. Well, it's different here with us. Only the frozen section is a lot cooler.

I went out to buy a detergent powder. That's all I wanted NOTHING else. I ended up buying 10 grocery bags... and I do not have a car... I walked to the grocery... so, I also walked home with 10 bags in my hands. Some drivers would stop and ask if I need help, I politely declined. Don't get me wrong, but I do not know any of them, so I did not entertain the invites. It would be nice, though.

Good thing that you are prudent and do not accept rides from unknown people.

@marlina It's hard to trust fully nowadays. I don't want to put myself in a situation that I would regret in the end, you know what I mean.

It's easy to get caught out by entering air-conditioned stores in summer clothes.

THAT is the only uncomfortable thing about summer. We have to bring along a light jacket or something similar if we plan to stay for too long in any store.

I like it when the indoor temperature is just regular. Where I work it is so cold that our windows all fog up like someone has just taken a shower, and its so unhealthy for us to work in that type of a cold environment.

I usually keep a sweater in the car for going in a store. I went to the grocery store today and it wasn't that cold in the store but it was like walkin in an inferno coming out.

I do experience that sometimes -- too hot outside, too cold inside. I just make sure to wear socks and closed shoes, loose pants, and a shirt with sleeves.
