Decent enough supper

Supper: evening meal. I got out for a few minutes and pulled the water hose from our old pear tree and around to the raspberries. I guess doing that simple task then harvesting some berries and gathering eggs from the hens got me hungry.
Sure hot out today. Supper: hubby had boiled some lentils and added seasoning. I'd harvested a little zucchini and eggplant from the garden- small but a contribution to our meal. Hubby chopped the two and added them to store broccoli. He added ravioli to the lentils. All of this made for a good and filling meal. I put the just picked raspberries into bowls and spooned Greek plain yogurt on top:dessert.
Now we're listening to a time travel book. Wow. A man suddenly transported back to a late 18th century Arizona army fort. He has to cope with being a medic in those days of no antibiotics or ideas on sterilizing things. Oh my. Quite the book.

Simple and tasty supper. I like the homegrown part,it's so wonderful for me who doesn't have a garden to go and pick your own veggies

I think I should begin the habit of bringing along in my handbag a giant box of Aspirin or something similar, just in case I travelled in time that way. Perhaps a big disinfectant spray too, how about some bandages??? (They used to help greatly to people who got stuck in the past from books I read.)
