I bought my first ugly car with my saved earnings. I never forget driving myself and kay around with joy. In a split second I ran right under the bumper of the truck in front of me. It was a goner. I never turned the radio on while driving again.

I totaled my first car last year. I was still paying for it. It was such a hassle to go through all the process, insurance, GAP, bank settlement. I am glad it's all over. But, then again... I lost my other car almost 3 weeks ago. Now, I am car less again.. It's hard to think where to get another used car. My credit went bad just before my divorce.

That might be a smart thing to say. Not only a smart thing to do.

I've never totalled a car. One of ours, though, an SUV parked on the street in front of the house was hit in the middle of the night so hard to move it like 10 feet backwards and break the front axle. We slept through it. We had the humidifier going in the bedroom and it made enough white noise to block out the noise of the accident. My husband still won't leave a car on the street now overnight now.
