Are you a person that asks questions when you watch the news? Do you wonder about what is going on on this planet and why? Have you reached a point where you don't bother with questions anymore? What do you think is an important question in life? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are some questions that I have heard people ask: Why are there so many problems in life? What will the future be like? What happens to us when we die? Is there a God who cares?

Yes, I just saw the news about the riots in Haiti and the news that that five people in a family (the father and 4 daughters, only the mother survived) were killed in a car accident. It's so sad!

@1hopefulman I would go to the book of Job. It has a good explanation. Do you know some more scriptures that are useful for answering that question?

Yes, many ask that question. How would you answer that question if someone asked you?

@buenavida Yes, Job has some good information on that question. I also found this site has a good explanation.
Complete this lesson to learn the origin of evil. See why a loving and almighty God has allowed suffering and evil to continue until now. Learn the connection to sin and bad rulership.

All questions with no answers of course. We do not know what the future will be like. We cannot prove that there is a God who cares and why life is not a bowl of cherries.

Thanks for your comment! Of course, you know that not all would agree with you. However, your opinion is as important as any other and appreciated by me.

@LadyDuck I don't know how others would answer your objection but this is what I know. A good father would always show love and care for his child. If one day the child appeared with a black eye, it might be that somebody else than the father caused it. I think that would be logical.

@1hopefulman I know that some people pretend that they can "prove" that there is a God who cares. I would like how they can prove this. Those same pretend that bad things that happen in life are not sent by him. Strange way to think.

That’s a philosophical question to ask of us. Of course I ask questions and ask many. Not everyone can answer them, so I ask Wikipedia. Most of your questions could be answered, but the answers would vary greatly. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

I woke up very early this morning with all kinds of questions in my head and came up with this discussion and thought I would see what others had as questions and how they dealt with them. I hope I didn't give you too much work?

@1hopefulman Not too much work. . I got out of bed, said my prayers, fed the cats, walked Doodles, walked with my friends, walked Doodles two more times, did two loads of laundry, and still need to go to the gym.

When you find your true purpose in life will you know it? Some people search for their purpose all their lives and never find it.

What do you think is an important question in life? What is the purpose of my life Finding this answer can not be easy. But everyone must have a purpose in life. The sooner you find it, the sooner you can start to devote energy to fulfilling it.

@1hopefulman we may have the same or it may be different because we can not possibly live our lives always dependent on others.

I don't really ask those questions anymore. Everything happens for a reason. We are mortals and we experience these problems all the time. But at least in my case, it's not worst than every one else.

Yes, there are people that have stopped asking questions about life and what is happening. I was never one of those and will never be as I am curious about the universe. Thanks for your comment!

I don't watch the news - too depressing. Though I am happy to learn the soccer players have been mostly rescued now, just a few more and their coach and they will all be safe. As for what an important question would be - I think it would depend on the person. We all have different interests and needs. The person who questions if God cares, hasn't really tried to find him, and makes him the blame for everything wrong in their lives. My important question would be - Am I ever going to understand marketing in relation to the publishing world?

Much truth in what you state! As far as the marketing / publishing question, do what your good at and get some help where you are not so strong.

The question I seem to be asking myself when watching the news is "What the heck is going on in this crazy world today." All I see is a world filled with intolerance, incivility and violence? It is just a divisive environment and has been for quite a while now

@1hopefulman Two divergent views on a multitude of issues that cause problems in the world today. One side trying to pragmatically solve the current mess, the other, entrenched in an unrealistic approach and misguided opinion on what is best for the world, often fueled by emotion and rage. This violence is often directed against anyone with a different view than their own. Instead of reason and compromise, the latter group prefers to engage in destructive methods to advance their agenda,

I think almost all wonder about such issues and I certainly do. I feel life is a real puzzle at the end of the day and what happens hereafter is a big question mark. Of course, we have our beliefs to comfort us - siva

Yes, when we have a question we can do some research and see what others are thinking about it but we may have to wait for the definitive answer. What we call faith is the best answer we can find at this time.
