Tab Hunter Gay Icon dies at the age of eighty six.

I think he's part of music history: that was the only time in pop music history that a song knocked itself out of #1. The #1 song right before Tab hit the top with his version of "Young Love" was the Sonny James rendition. Wikipedia says that he lied about his age to join the US Coast Guard at the age of 15!

I remember that guy.

My Mom told me about him when I was a kid. She, in those days , said to me that many women had crushes on him because he was handsome. I think my Mom even said she had had a crush on him.

I had just read about him not too long ago - in relation to Anthony Perkins - in an article about the many gay actors in Hollywood. Very good lookin' man!!

The name Tab Hunter rings a bell since I do remember seeing him on television shows in Panama on the Panamanian television stations which were R P C and T V National before the cable boom in the 1980s.

I read of Tab's passing in Santa Barbara. He co-starred several times with my favorite actress Natalie Wood. He lived a nice long life and ultimately did it his way.
