Katmandu Commuter Hell
A few hours ago, I found those pictures online showing how bad the commuting is in Katmandu.
I can't believe that people have to travel in such conditions.
And here, we complain when the bus or subway is late only for a few minutes.
Or that we have to wait for the streetcar because of a small delay due to traffic.
Are we ever spoiled here in North America? At least where we live in Toronto, Canada?
Do you have an easy way to get to your work in the morning?
As the government ploughs on with its controversial road expansion scheme, commuting in Nepal’s capital can take up to four hours – while many joke that the dust mask has become part of national dress

When I used to have a regular job I always drove. My son takes the metro to work.

There is always a balance in that those who have to go through such hardships also accept them and when something is accepted it becomes cake walk

Yes we are very spoiled here with pretty much everything. I can't even imagine having to deal with that dust and dirt in Kathmandu

MARILYN
@Marilynda1225, I complained a lot when the workers did some work on my street for new cables underground. They had to dig and we had so much dust.
Thanks that they are finally done, but unfortunately, in Kathmandu, they live with this DAILY.

I am not working at the moment, but when I ride Ecat I have to do my riding and errands during the week and it still take a while, but aturday it is almost impossible to get anywhere a most ot the connections don't meet with the routes running only every other hour and you may have a long wait if the bus you want to connect to is on the same every other hour schedule as yours
