A New Waiting Game

Well, this morning the House Inspector was supposed to arrive at 8:30 a.m. Needless to say that none of us really slept very well, knowing that we would have to have a quick breakfast and get out of the house for four hours while he looks to see if he can find anything wrong with the house. You have no idea how long four hours can seem when you are standing in Walmart at 9 a.m. watching the minutes tick by. Finally decided to head across the city to Ikea and have lunch there, wander around the store and then head for home after the wandering part. It's amazing how much energy you can find yourself with after an egg salad sandwich... have no idea either, but I loved the wandering part and even found the perfect desk to replace the built in one that will go with the house! And now for the waiting game I mentioned. We won't know if they accept the house until 7 p.m. tomorrow night. My only worry is that maybe we jumped the gun a little. Because of the move to a new province, we decided to just pack from the minute the offer came in. And it was all the "staging" of the house that we packed up. Have to admit that it looks kind of empty now, but if the new family does accept the house, at least we are that further ahead that if we had waited until all the "t's" have been crossed. If they back out, I guess that we will just have to pretty up the house again. Now that should be fun. Wish us luck! I don't want to unpack only to have to re-pack a few weeks down the road. Oh... the joys of selling. Please keep those fingers crossed for a bit longer!!

It would have been better if all of us weren't so tired and stressed. Unfortunately, no one really wanted to be there lol!

We have no inspection here before selling a house. The buyer makes the tour of the house and if he/she likes there is no need of further inspection.

I suppose there is a family member who stays with the inspector while he is inspecting the house.
