Happy Wednesday morning from this side of the planet! I am already getting accustomed to waking up early, going down, and preparing breakfast for my son. He will have an advisory class in senior high school, and his off day is every Monday. Saturday will be his classes in Master of Science in Teaching (MST) so practically, his usual household tasks are altered. Like many of you responded on how to bathe our dogs not as frequent as weekly, I guess this task of my son to bathe our dogs will be done by me. My son starts to bathe our dogs, 2 or 3 dogs, every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; now however that he is in his work, I am taking the task of bathing the furry pets. My plan for today? I will bathe the brown dogs and 1 white dog. I will start at 9AM---10 minutes from now. Although my sister wants to do the task, I declined because my sister is not at all sweet to the dogs EXCEPT SYDNEY, who is so fierce to me. She might pull the fur of the dogs. I will ask her though, to brush the dogs’ fur, and request her to be calm while grooming them. See you later, my friends!

Well, you got to do what you got to do. Expect changes now that your son will be working Tuesdays to Saturdays. I think your sister will be the most affected with the schedule because she is used to have your son around.

yes, of course and it is so obvious that i do the task of my son. after all, he is working while i am still at home. i am just glad my son has his offline job while still doing his online work. no, it is not my sister now. she should adjust her tasks at home too; i bathe, she grooms. it is just all right.

@ridingbet yes I think it should always be a give and take concept. You just have to support your son.

If your sister is not nice with the dogs, she deserves a bite from one of them one day.

Never tried bathing a dog even with Hachico before. Father was the one who likes to bath our dogs before.

really? well, bathing a dog is nice especially if the dog is not movable and stays still while being hosed with water when rinsing. they had fun staying in the basin with their feet soaked.

That's nice of you to give them a bath yourself. it is a blessing to have dogs in the house so we should always make sure that they are properly taken cared of like my Macy.

but i learned from some here that dogs should not be bathed as often as weekly. this morning, i did not bathe the 4 'city-dogs' because i felt weak, that i just sat in from of our TV set.

@ridingbet oh , I'm sorry to hear that. a little rest would do the trick. Take care and keep safe.

My dogs hate to bath. They make a lot of fuss. Since they are kept outdoors, I seldom bathe them. It seems that if done too often, it washes away the natural oil which maintain the coat of the dog from becoming brittle and damaged.

i bathed Chibi first, then Trixie, and the last was Zeus. they liked the water running through their bodies. my sister groomed the last with me. maybe we will schedule their baths after every 2 weeks.

thank you. when my son is here and doing the bathing of the dogs, i do groom the newly bathed. if not, i join my son in washing the dogs and adding more lather of the soap in to their bodies.
