Hello all! :) I think I was gone from here for a week??? How time flies. :P I got too engrossed in YouTube and trailer breakdowns and rewatching movies and episodes... Then my backup phone decided it was going to go into one of its spasms. After a day or more of endlessly trying to reboot, I decided to search the net for a solution. Factory reset through the bootloader is what I found. Tried it. (Spent the better part of a day doing so because the buttons weren't exactly cooperating.) Thought it worked for a while... but then the problem came back. :( It's highly likely the phone will never recover. :( Anyway, I've finally finished with all the YouTube comments I wanted to write. So it's time I get back here. :) Have you ever had to try a factory reset on your phone? P.S. I rotated that picture earlier, but I guess it won't attach that way. :(

Yes, I waited and hoped the problem will resolve on its own. The phone is old and does the switching on and off thing every now and then. Never had to do anything before except wait it out. But this time took longer than before so... :/

@amitkokiladitya Well... that is one option... but it was my backup phone. This main one is still working fine (and I hope it will continue to do so please please *crosses fingers*). I did look at the price of a new one. It's a lot. I still need to save up. And I'm secretly hoping that my father will get a new one for himself so he'll hand me down one of his old ones. Hehe. (Both this and the dying one were hand-me-downs from him. )

Wait... so you did a factory reset when you first got the phone? Why?

@JustBhem Ah, ok. I'm not familiar with iPhones. Mine are all second hand as well. (Androids) But I guess my father just removed his accounts before he gave them to me, because I didn't have to do anything then except add my own accounts.

@moirai Yes, because it needs to. It's a second hand iPhone 6, he gave it to me as a present for my Birthday. I need to reset it so that I can have my own profile.

Yes, I think I will try that before totally giving up on it. Will have to save up an extra P400-500 to do that, though.

several times I tried to restore the factory settings but there are constraints that the operating system damage causes repeated stop responding.
