No, Not Really but that would be nice, wouldn't it? Pictured are the books I picked up from the thrift media shop today. I also sold some dvd's and received $37.22 in cash and about $13.75 in store credit. A family member also tagged along and gave me his store credit voucher so I had a total of $19.99 which included the previous vouchers I had accumulated. The books are : A Painted House By John Grisham 5 cents The Summons By John Grisham 5 Cents Dirty Laundry By Liz Osborne 25 Cents The Grand Finale by Janet Evanovich 90 cents Lethal by Sandra Brown $2.25 The Girl On The Train By Paula Hawkins $6.25 Murder Most Frothy by Cleo Coyle $2.95 You Don't Want To Know by Lisa Jackson $1.95 Candycane Murder by Joanne Fluke $1.50 AND last, but not least : The Wily O'Reilly Irish Country Stories by Patrick Taylor $2.50 Phew! That was a lot to type out. I've read A Painted House and The Girl On The Train before. I couldn't pass up purchasing A Painted House for only 5 cents! I received 4 cents back in store credit as I used my vouchers to pay for this.

Do you plan on reselling them for a higher price? I mean, why purchase a book you've already read no matter how cheap? Those are some pretty dang good deals, though. I have to stay away from stores like that. I have way too many books in the house. Anybody wanna buy some?

@thislittlepennyearns I have never read a book more than once. There are just too many books to read to spend time reading one I've already read.

I personally will repurchase a book I've already read if it's something I think I could read over and over and over again. The Girl on the Train I bought on my e-reader but I wanted a physical copy so that I always had it. A Painted House was something I was going to buy again anyway. I sold it several years ago for cash and regretted doing so. It was tough not to want to purchase more but the money I got from them is going towards a trip at the end of this month. Otherwise I could have spent hours in there.

Oh I love getting second hand books, they are very expensive, brand new. I get mine from a thrift store for about 25 cents.

There are several other thrift stores that I've visited before but it's been years. I plan to visit them again whenever I get some extra money. The one I go to might end up being the cheapest. I know one store (that's closer to me) had a lot of older books and so I'll definitely check that one out.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Our one thrift store doesn't get many new books. But, the other one has a constant inflow of different books.

The only one I have read is "The girl on the train". I liked it, but I don't have my own copy. I saw "You don't want to know" on Goodreads, and I think it sounds interesting.

I bought it on my e-reader around the time it first came out. I havent' seen the movie based on the book but I might watch it eventually. I'm iffy on that, sometimes I watch the adaptation and sometimes I don't. There were a lot of good books there but I was focused on not spending out of pocket. I could get in real trouble there with so many interesting books.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I have seen the movie. I saw the movie first and read the book later. I liked the movie, but I prefer the book. It is hard to choose a few books when there are so many interesting books to choose from. I haven't bought new books for a while. My mother gave me a lot of old books that she didn't want anymore, and I have a whole box full of books that I haven't read.

@Porcospino Yes, the ones I have, some of them were stuck together. Others are missing covers or pages. I hope you can get them all sorted and sold, donated or kept. I think I have talked to you about my shelving before and what I have planned. Once I can get rid of all the things I need to, I can start putting lots and lots of books there. Also some of my mother's trinkets that I wasn't able to display before.

@Courtlynn I'm not sure of what all I have to be honest. Some of them were brought over here by my nephew. I know there's a skiing game, I plan to keep it though. Some Mario games but the only one I need to keep is the newest Super Mario Brothers. The rest can be sold, including the system.

That was a great deal! Hopefully, these kind of thrifts would exist here too. In the area, I only know one library, which also offers second hand books, where we can sell and buy them. But, the offer is very small.

I loved the Girl On The Train. I had to read it after I seen the movie. Her other book Into The Water I think it's called is good too. I love Lisa Jackson. She is one of my faves. I see you got a Sandra Brown book. I have read some by Joanne Fluke but not that one. John Grisham is a good writer. I like his books. I hope you enjoy them all.

I haven't watched the movie yet and I am not sure if I will. I had a friend who read the book and watched the movie. I was actually surprised she read the book as she doesn't like to read that much. Yes there were lots of Sandra Brown books, they had her works in two different sections. I didn't see another copy of Rainwater though. I did see a few books with Rainwater in the title though. I've read A Painted House by John Grisham and I feel like I read The Pelican Brief as well. The Summons sounded so interesting that I nearly bought two copies by accident!

@morgoodie Yes Exactly and if I've seen the movie before I realized it was a book, then I won't read the book afterwards. I don't want to ruin the plot of either.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah I have read a few of his books and they are interesting. I have seen some of the ones they made into movies and liked them too. I thought the movie for girl on the train was good. But I know sometimes you just don't want to see the movie just read the book. I am like that sometimes too.

Truly, excellent deals! I probably couldn't pass those up either..although I am trying not to accumulate any additional books. I can't figure out what to do with the ones I already own!

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah, but selling old books is hard. I am trying to move.in the next couple of years.and don't want to accumulate any more books..I have several bookcases..so space isn't as much the issue as not wanting to accumulate more stuff.

Sell them? Then get more? I would have adequate room for many many books if I could just clean off a shelf. I'm in the process of doing that with getting rid of all of these dvds. I may not fill the shelves with books but it would be nice to have some paperbacks for when I don't want to read from my kindle. Though I have to admit I am a bit addiced to seeing how much I can get out of the credit vouchers I receive.

@snowy22315 Oh okay. A lot of people give the books to the salvation army or goodwill. I know I found a few good finds through the salvation army several years ago now. There are three stores in my area (that I know of) that sell and trade books. Maybe you could find something in your area? Even if they only take them in for trade, places like that usually don't have vouchers that expire.

Reading is such a lovely past time. I am glad there is such thing as an e-reader and even audiobooks for that matter. I plan to buy more physical books and re-sell or trade ones I don't like or won't read again.

This was at a second hand store. They did have some good deals. Big volumes of books for $10.00. They had other books I may grab (if they are still there) the next time.

I haven't bought books from a library in a long time. However, when I did, the books were usually around $1.00 and they were all older titles and harlequn type. I don't think our library gives vouchers like that. Good luck, hope you can find a lot of nice finds.

Thank You. There were quite a few books that were less than $1.00. Many of which weren't in the genres that I prefer. Most of these are mystery or suspense type.

I think I have Girl on The Train. I have read one Joanne Fluke book, maybe two. I am getting ready to do the rounds of the ebook sites and see if there is anything of interest today.

They made it into a movie but I never watched it. It's a pretty good book and so it was worth getting it in paperback form. I've heard of Joanne Fluke but I haven't read her before. I know Janet Evanovich is supposed to be good too. I bought it just to eat up the rest of the voucher.

@thislittlepennyearns I think I may have seen Wicked at the store today. They have an extensive dvd section as well which makes it a shame they aren't in Florida. You still have some money on your ebay gift card?

The title popped into my head right before I sat down to write it. It's not completely misleading as I did get "A Painted House" for five cents. I just didn't get my house painted for five cents.
