Calvert County Sheriff Mike Evans (not the character in the television show "Good Times") is impressed that several motorists who prevented an 18 year old teenage from jumping off of the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge in Maryland on Wednesday by preventing him from taking his own life by attempting to jump into the Patuxent River. The name of the teenager was not released by the authorities for what I believe is privacy issues. Joe Zabko who was one the of motorists who did his part to prevent the teen from taking his own life by jumping off of the bridge told the local news media that one woman was talking to the teen who got out of his auto in the middle of the road while another woman grabbed him to pinned him to the ground until the ambulance came to pick up the teen and take him to a local hospital to find out why he wanted to end his life yesterday. So far the teen is okay after his near death experience even though the cause if hid desire to take his own life was not mentioned.
