Do you own your favorite tv shows on dvd?

As you all know we own a lot of DVDS, and we actually have built up quite the little library of telvision shows on DVD. We don't have as many television shows as we do actual movies, but we are slowly getting a little bit of a collection. The most recent addition is Family Guy. We only have one season, but I'm sure in enough time we will own more, if not the whole series. Other half was pretty excited when I found the season we do have for so cheap. We also have season 1,2 and 5 of Gilmore Girls on DVD. Season 3,4 and 6 have been ordered. I will probably complete that series pretty soon. I lucked out in finding all the seasons I have ordered so far for pretty cheap. I found the first seasons of both The OC and One Tree Hill for under $4 a piece on eBay so we have both of those. Another eBay find was Archer season one. I have been meaning to order the other seasons, but haven't found good deals on them yet. I have managed to order the first three seasons of Arrested Development as well. They were all pretty cheap. I would of ordered season 4 already but with all the hubbub of the newest season the fourth one is still a little spendier than I want to pay. We do have the complete series of The Jeff Foxworthy show. Which is only two seasons, but it's a complete series. So that's something. I happened across the first season last year at the thrift store. Which meant it was cheaper than I would of even been able to get it on eBay. We have three random seasons of South Park. The third and seventh season I found at Walmart for $7.50 each and then got the first one on eBay or Amazon for $0.01 with $3.99 shipping. While I would love to have all of Doctor Who on DVD, it's a task I haven't quite accomplished yet. I'm sure it will take a couple years at least to get all of them. However I do have all the seasons with Matth Smith in it. Season 5, 6, and 7 of the "reboot". We have watched these many times. These are actually the ones that made the other half like Doctor Who. King of the Hill is another show that we love, and we have seasons 1-4 as well as season 6. There are thirteen seasons and they aren't really that cheap on eBay so eventually we will own the whole series. I picked up a DVD of the cartoon show Almost Naked Animals at work a few months ago for the nephew to watch. We watched it with him, and it was not nearly as good as any of us had hoped it would be. But we do have that. It's only been watched once. Well it turns out that we have a lot more television shows on DVD than I thought we did. Do you have any tv shows on dvd?

Well., you know I am trying to get rid of DVDs. However, I have found DVD series at the thrift store that I like. I won't be purchasing them because I can watch them digitally already and so I feel it would be a waste for me to do that way. I'm more interested in getting books at the moment, either digitally or physically. There are a few series of DVDs I wouldn't mind owning in the future but I won't worry about that for a long time yet. I like Archer, King of the Hill and Family Guy as well.

@thislittlepennyearns We have both but I use streaming more than anything. I pay for the streaming for the house, someone else pays for the cable. We retain the cable mainly for sports games and for the music channels. Since I don't pay for it I say have at it.

I am getting books too. Especially now.that I have a kindle. Those are easier to move. Ebooks at least. We don't have cable or streaming right now so dvds make more sense for us.

I own the full series of The Golden Girls, Full House and Roseanne, and some of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The Facts of Life, The Brady Bunch, Boy Meets World and Growing Pains. Eventually I'll own Becker too. It depends on finances and priorities.

Nope I have nothing on DVD and the only shows I watch are what I can get on the tv. I do have a DVR which is clogged with shows waiting to be watched as well as Netflix and Hulu. You have quite a collection going there.

@thislittlepennyearns Cable is way too expensive and I'm always looking for ways to cut back on my bill. Maybe one of these days I'll get rid of it completely

I don't pay for cable. Its not worth it. We have more than 300 dvds. That's worth it for us. Cable is too expensive and doesn't have much that we watch.
