Early and Late both

We got busy and took a load of brush, mostly cedar to the burn site in town. The city employees and fire department make sure that it is not a fire hazard before burning trees and yard waste. We had a good breakfast, then loaded up the car and headed south. I am going to be here until Monday. My hubby will come and go as his work requires him to be in Florence (where we live) on Saturday. And he wants to make sure Princess Kitty is okay. So I got an early start today but I am late getting on here to just say hi.

I think I am not happy unless I am busy.

I suppose not Florence in Italy. I got an early start, but I had to reply to a serious email and it took more time than I wanted.

MyLot's menu does not have my city, Florence, Ks. I have Marion on my profile. I find that there are several cities named Florence in the US, but not so beautiful as Florence in Italy.

@GardenGerty They surely took the name from Florence in Italy. Florence (Italy) was founded as a Roman military colony about the 1st century BC. It is pretty old.

@LadyDuck my particular town is named for the daughter of a Railroad Official who helped found the town.

I also think of Florence in Italy. So you have a Florence in the USA. It is an excellent idea to take the cedar wood to the burn site in town. We don't want to have any fire hazards happening. In addition I think you were sensible to arrive there early.

I am pretty certain that there is more than one Florence in the United States. Ours is named for the daughter of a railroad man.

I hope you are able to do all that you want in Oklahoma. How has your weather been there?

Hot in Kansas, Hot in Oklahoma. What I have to do in Oklahoma is just see after my dad. I really do not have to do much except feed him, give him medicine and reassure him about what is going on.

I am using this time as a time to visit, but also to do some of the things that I must do.

How wonderful to have trees and building as well as rebuilding within a community. That's how communities flourish.

We have to look after our surroundings, even if we are a small community.

Yes, it does. I am a little frustrated because of things I need to do, but I am well aware that I need to visit with Dad while I can and also provide breaks for my brother and his wife.
