Adulting fail!

July 13, 2018 12:24pm CST
My husband discovered a pinhole leak in our water heater (going on 2 days now!). He is a pretty handy guy, but hates plumbing and electrical work. Of course he discovers it the day he has to go back to work. He works at night 10pm-8am, and the poor dude spends most of the day fixing the plumbing (instead of sleeping) turns it on and another leak pops about 16 inches above where he just replaced. Anywhoo, I start warming up pots and pans for my 14 month old son. I'm running back and forth filling the tub with boiling water and the cooling it off with the cold faucet water. I get his water to the perfect temperature, I get him in, he is happy and everything is running smoothly..... all for about 3 min into the bath, and then he POOPS IN THE WATER! The water that took me forever to heat on the stove. Just when you think you got a hang of this adulting thing, your kid comes along and junk punches just to make sure you don't get to far from reality!

@wordvomit Those long days can be really hard. My son is working days like that right now and he is overwhelmed. I hope you can get it fixed soon.

We have someone coming by today. He got held over at work until noon! 16 hour day for him and he has to go back tonight. He is to exhausted to even try, but I don't know how many more baths I can do via stove water.
