I watched a T.D. Jakes sermon today about "'Being Free CONDITIONALLY' vs. 'Being Free Indeed'"---comparing it to "'being an escapee' vs. 'being fully paroled'"---the main difference being that the first involves lots of 'looking over your shoulder and being on the run'

At this point in time Freedom is just to be allowed to live in peace the way I want too. But I do agree with John Roberts that it changes over time. I know my parents felt they lost freedom when I had to take over driving for them. And that will bug me too if it ever happens to me.

I have been pondering this question awhile and can't come up with anything concrete. I do believe what is freedom changes over the course of a lifetime. What we thought meant freedom at 30 is longer so at a much later age.
