Hi My lot! Guess what I'm doing right now? 1 - I'm typing this on my phone which will make it only the second post that I've done on my phone. @courtlynn will be impressed, lol.
A couple weeks ago a friend's of mine and her mom, seperately asked if I could watch the mom's dog. I said sure and that we should set a day ahead of time so I could meet the dog,. Well, didn't hear back, so I kind of forgot about it. Until, that is .. last night. Turns out that I was needed indeed.
So I came over this morning ... And turns out they were expecting I should stay over... I had no idea. Not a bad thing, they are nice people and so welcoming, told me to go ahead shower, even use their food.. no ... I don't think I'll do that. I don't need to use up their groceries. Though I may help myself here and there to a soda or something. At this point I'm not sure I will be spending over night either. I just don't sleep good in New places.
That said it's a good doggo ... Large lab and pit bull mix. Real lovable. But he sits looking out the window waiting for his people.
In a slight plot twist , the dog's name is Jay. I know that @DianneN knows a Jay who wasn't too nice of a person... my man who I have often complained about on here is also named Jay. It's ironic. I thought at one point in time I would be cuddling with a Jay, however, I thought it was going to be a human. Lol.
On an unrelated note, @just4him, you inspired me. I got back to my gym for the past couple days now.
Photo mine.. Jay the dog

Do the people have someone sit for the dog alot? The dog really missed them. So, did you stay over?

@Hannihar No, happily - the first afternoon he was by the window, then slowly he came around, would lay down by me, play with me.... got used to the idea

I think other family members come by to watch the dog, but not outsiders often. I didn't stay over, though I did stay there until early AM hours - because Im usually awake right then, too :-)

Thanks! Yay me! I will say that it's easier to post pictures with the phone.
He was upset at the time - kept looking at me and then out the window, I think asking where his people had gone.
He got better after some treats :-)

Wow! I appreciate your nice gesture of being a dog sitter! Yes it may give a strange feeling at new places, the dog must be happy happy to have you nas your companion though he must be missing his people! A couple of meals from you will make him feel better with you! All the best! Have a great time! Thanks!

Aw that's kind of you. It's actually so fun/ nice.... hang out with a dog. Soon he became less anxious about his people, that and, well, the peanut butter treats I gave him seemed to help. lol Thank you

@JustBhem Yeah! He wasn't difficult at all. Other than insisting (in the cutest way possible) that I walk him regularly. That was ok though, the walk was good for me too

They said he was 8. Surprised me too - he sure has a lot of silver on his face for being 8.... but, he seemed to be in fine spirits... :-)

Adorable dog. You know that is one of my ideas for the future. Pet sitting and house sitting. I know I could do both very well and get paid and not have to have my own place. However, right now I must concentrate on getting myself and my cat Sid taken care of. Hope you and Jay become fast friends.

Ha ha. Yes. You're right. As I was lamenting my lack of affection from the two legged Jay - I was comforted by the thought that this doggo is probably much nicer.
I love pet sitting.
Tell your son if he needs a new sitter.... just kidding. N ot really. lol!

Should the people have told you beforehand what to expect?
