Really funny experience in Berkeley today!

I was hoping something weird would happen today. I was getting bored with my posts. As I was walking up University Avenue, during my break, hoping to score a spinach-feta croissant and coffee, I heard loud rap music playing ahead of me.
Looking up, I spied about seven black women dancing in the middle of the sidewalk. The music was blaring from a car parked next to where they were dancing. As I attempted to pass, one of the women jumped in front of me, and wiggled her tushy in front of my body in a "twerking" sort of way, with a high frequency of twerk/sec.
I did the only thing I could think of: I broke into a dance move that was the best a middle-aged white man can come up with on the spur of the moment. Everyone laughed and one of the women said something like "He bust a move!"
I noticed that another woman was recording the whole thing with a cell phone. I waved a quick wave as I proceeded on, and everyone seemed to enjoy the moment.
On the way back to work, croissant and coffee in hand, I elected to use the opposite side of the street. The party was still in full swing, but I didn't want to try and "bust another move" with hot coffee in my hand.
Have you ever experienced anything like this? I wonder what led to the party in that particular place at that particular moment.

If they were recording it you might just become a viral sensation!! I'd love to see you "bust a move"

I was worried about that. But I'd just appear as the "cool" regular guy, passing through. It was a fun and silly moment. I have no idea why they were there. Why is hardy anybody responding to this post? Is it scary somehow? Maybe I'd better do a breakfast post.

That was really cool. I bet you had a good time there. We have had things happen here that were very interesting to watch. A lot of them happen across from our bus station in Jerusalem in a square there. I sometimes like to stop and watch and maybe take a picture.

People get motivated by the strangest things. Perhaps they were celebrating something. You did right by crossing to the other side.

Probably online somewhere, but three seconds is not bad.

Haha! That is really funny. However, that seemed rude. They should have asked fast if you could dance with them. Anyway, it broke your boredom and made you experience something new so I wasn't as bad.
