My new staple breakfast! What's yours?

I have absolutely fallen in love with eggs with onions and cheese for breakfast. It's like an open-faced omelette! Sometimes I add green pepper, if I have it here. It's low on carbs, high in protein, and absolutely delicious! Do you have a "staple" breakfast that you eat most mornings?

Sounds good to me. I'm having leftover prime rib from last night's gig. But I'll be ready with my eggs tomorrow morning.

@TheHorse I haven't had prime rib in ages. I guess I am more of a hamburger eater. (cheap date) I know.

I have never heard that before! Is it common where you live to eat that for breakfast? We never eat hotdogs for breakfast, mostly lunch, maybe dinner.

I change every morning, some days it's waffles with maple syrup, others toasted bread with jam and butter, or English muffins and cheese spread.

@hereandthere Soft cheese, like Philadelphia, is the only one you can spread on English muffins.

@TheHorse Yes, they like chocolate chips in theirs but I just found a recipe for chocolate pancakes so we are going to try those and she likes hers with bananas and cinnamon sometimes. Variety is the spice of life!

A banana. Or left over pizza, sometimes nothing. I really don`t like eating breakfast in the mornings.

Cereal. Breakfast is merely necessity for me not a pleasure.

I knew you were not human...human beings fall in love with humans at the most with animals or songs or thing...but...falling in love with eggs...sigh...some mothers do have them..evil grin. Ok...seriously...idlis...and I like them because I can gobble a lot of pickle with them.

Yes I have porridge and some kind of fruit in it. I don't eat eggs so I would have to give that a miss! Enjoy!

Is porridge closest to what we call oatmeal? Or cream of wheat? Or gruel? Wait, that last one was from Oliver Twist, which is English, I think.

I would love to eat it. I love eggs very much. But as I want to lose my weight, I am avoiding eating it more than 2days in a week.

Since my days are somewhat erratic, most of the time I skip breakfast . But this is nice, I never thought of mixing onions with eggs like this. I will definitely try this and I'll let you know if I like it .

I actually like what you mentioned but a little bit different. In a pan - 1 small onion, salt, pepper, wait until almost fully caramelised and adding 4 cloves of garlic and cooking them for 2 minutes on high heat. Adding 2 eggs and taking the pan off the fire. Letting the eggs cook for 1 minute from the residue heat and than adding cheese. best breakfast ever
