I might be in trouble...

Nothing serious, just my computer acting up. I have (had) a laser mouse, but it doesn't let its little light shine any more, hasn't in a long time. But it still worked. Until lately. It's giving me arguments when I try to move things. It either won't let go of whatever I'm trying to move, or it lets it go before I've got it to where I want it. Now, the keyboard is starting to act funny. Earlier today, when I used the quotation mark key, it refused to place the quotes. Had to hit it 3 times before it agreed. And I had to go back and put in the missing apostrophes in this post. And just a few minutes ago, the esc key stayed down and had to be coaxed up again. I really wasn't planning on buying new peripherals.

Yes, it is. I yell at the offending device all the time.

Well, yes, as I've been remiss in that regard.

@BarBaraPrz I know that sometimes I use my keyboard after applying hand cream and it does not like this.

If the keyboard is wireless, try new batteries.

Nope, not wireless, but I pried the esc key off and found a pin under it.

I had a small problem with my computer yesterday afternoon after it needed a security update.

Hmmm... Either the heat's getting to 'em or it's the start of the robot uprising...
