Unable to upload image.

Hi I tried to upload an image to my discussion two days back. The discussion got uploaded without the image and it got few responses too. But it was not going anywhere without image. I tried uploading the image several times but received error message. At last I had to delete my discussion.
I have added image earlier as a part of my responses and it worked.
Any one had faced the same problem?? Please give your suggestions.

The maximum file size for images is 3MB. Make sure that your image file size is less than that (most cameras and many phones now produce images with huge file sizes). You should use photo editing software to reduce the size of the image. Even 1000 pixels in the longest dimension is more than adequate to display here.
If your image size is OK but you still have problems, myLot seems to have trouble sometimes when uploading images from a slow connection. Make sure that your Internet speed and connection are as fast as possible and be aware that any electronic devices, such as microwave ovens and cordless phones can interfere with the reliability of a WiFi signal.

@GardenGerty Anything which broadcasts strong radio waves of around the same frequency as your wireless network (2.4GHz) can interfere with the signals. Usually such devices are shielded and tuned so as not to conflict but if they are close to the receiving device (your PC or phone, for example), they can sometimes interfere, just as when you are close to a powerful radio transmitter, it is difficult to pick up radio stations which are close to it on that waveband.

make sure the file size is under 3mb. you can either resize it or crop it or compress the picture.

Please check that your picture is in JPEG format or not and second thing is that the smaller sized pictures get loaded fast and bigger pictures with more pixels may not get loaded. I really don't have idea about the ideal size of pics, but I am easily ;loading pictures between 100 to 200KB. Thanks!

@arunima25 I have a decent (usually) connection but sometimes it seems to take forever to load a photo. When that happens I will just go to YouTube and come back later.

I think you have gotten a lot of advice here. I was going to suggest the size, but if your images have worked before, your connection may be too slow.

My internet connection is very slow and disrupting for last few days. So I am not trying it now. Will try once the issue is settled down.

Yes I was frustrated. I think the main issue was slow connection. I did not face any issue while uploading image for my other discussion.

@arunima25 if you are on mobile phone, there are some editing tags there. the SamSung phone that i use has the frame edit, so i add to make it in my discussion.
