Beginning of a new music trivia series on songs which use "Travel Terms In Their Title." One thing I discovered putting this together is the many different forms of travel imagery artists used in naming their tunes. So, as Led Zeppelin might say, lets "Ramble On" and see where this journey takes us.... Whodunnit?- Do you know these songs and artists. Here Are Your Clues: 1. This group formed in 1965 in Berwyn, Illinois - their name came from a line in the Shakespeare play Julius Caesar. This 1970 classic charted at # 2 in the U.S. The song's inspiration came from the guitarists former girlfriend who began seeing this musician again. Unfortunately, after so much time apart the relationship was strictly plutonic. Eventually the musician realized this was not going to change and out of frustration blurted out, all I am to you is someone with a car whose able to drive you to all your modeling appointments. Thus, the idea for a song about a vehicle which takes her anywhere she wants to go. This group used a calendar month for part of their name. 2. The song was written by Graham Gouldman, who went on to form the band 10cc. This tune peaked at # 5 on the U.S. and British charts in 1966. The lyrics tell about a couple who meet one rainy day waiting for public transportation. Love blooms when they share an umbrella. Fun fact: This British group's song was also recorded by another band from England, Herman's Hermits. One musician eventually left this pop/rock band to become part of an American Super Folk-Rock group, whose name was formed from the letters of each member's last name. 3. This tune was released in 1980 by a former lead singer of the Heavy Metal band "Black Sabbath." This singer rose to prominence in the 70's with this former band. He has sometimes been called "The Prince of Darkness. This English musician also was featured on a TV reality show in the early 2000's. The song's title came about from both the lead guitarists love of trains, and the weird sound he produced through his amp when working on the music. While many believe that this tune is yet another of this artist's songs about insanity, it's actually about the Cold War. Liner Notes: -Here is our feature song about travel. You should be familiar with this video from CCR. Written about their road warrior days! If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. Glad to throw a few more hints your way and aid "your search of that lost chord" or in this case tune. And as always thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!! Bus Stop is correct although a more successful recording was done by The Hollies. Take a listen and see what you think.... Trivia Answers: 1. Vehicle- Ides of March 2. Bus Stop- The Hollies 3. Crazy Train- Ozzy Osbourne Vehicle was a 1970 hit- sample lyrics: I'm a friendly stranger in a black sedan Won't you hop inside my car. Of course, we should not go in rides with strangers, lol.
The Ides Of March singing their only hit song Vehicle in 1970. Music in stereo.

@dgobucks226 That's the same song I'm familiar with. I didn't know that was the Hollies though. I know I had an album by Herman's Hermits when I was a kid and that song was on it.

The band who did makes you wonder, why isn't there a band called the Ides of September as well? That song "Umbrella" is so loathsome that it makes me hate the mention of an umbrella, so I have to think of song #2 to remember that there are good mentions of umbrellas in the world. And as for number three, could you imagine Ozzy in a bluegrass band?
