Are you bi-?

How would you answer a person who responded in your discussion with this question? The discussion has nothing to do about sexual preference and out of the blue that mylot member asked if I was bisexual. Would you be offended? Would you even bother to answer it. I wasn't offended, I did answer it with all honesty. However, I would never ever ask anybody about their sexual preference just because I have doubts about that. It's something I consider personal and rude to ask someone about that. Unless that person would hint on it, I wouldn't really try to pry on his or her personal life. I know a few here who admitted about their sexual preferences and it's their choice. If I was gay or bi, I would definitely admit that. I would never hide it. I would even make a discussion about it. But I would never ever pop that question on anybody here in mylot, especially in a discussion that has nothing to do with that topic at all. So what's your take?

There was a person in the barbershop who kept pissing me off and thinks I'm gay. He's not there anymore for some reason. anyways, i don't like bullies.

I don't think the person who asked me that in a discussion was a bully. He was an ignorant fool for sure though.

@Letranknight2015 Right and that's not even recent. Regardless that shouldn't be asked at all.

Would never ever ask it in a public discussion like this. I let them make a discussion.

@toniganzon yup, you are correct. It is rude to really ask especially when someone asked it in a wrong place.

I think it's rude that they asked you but I looked at your profile photo and I can see why they might have wondered. We do have to be careful about the impression we give with things like that. Most likely it was just a creepy guy with stereotypical ideas about women from your country. I'd have blocked him - but then I have a profile photo that doesn't tell you anything about me other than I'm probably not a cat.

I have changed my profile pic too many times and I know it's my profile pic that made him ask that. Nevertheless, he could have sent a private message instead of responding to a public discussion. And that person next to me is gay who loves cross-dressing. And I never judge anybody's profile pic. A picture can tell a thousand lies.

@toniganzon I'm not judging you at all - only saying that he probably was doing exactly that. We each take choices what we show about ourselves online. I wouldn't have answered the question - I'd have just deleted it.

@boiboing I perfectly know you weren't. Was just explaining about that picture. You wouldn't be able to respond now if you were coz I've already blocked you by then.

@DianneN By the way here's my new hairstyle. My hairdresser strongly opposed to chopping it off too short coz she really liked my hair long.. And also as to the color, she suggested I keep my balayage as it still looks good. She said I should let it grow for at least three months more then I could come back for the color. She didn't want me to spend more money on color when my current one still looks good.

I think it is a private matter and should not be asked in a public discussion if i was asked that, maybe i'd ask him or her back why they thought of it. Made me think of this guy in college who asked me if i was a lesbian because I always hang out with my best friend I don't even know what to feel

I think that's a really stupid question when the basis is only because you hang out with lesbian friends. Mine was made because of my profile pic which is of course very stupid as no conclusion can be really made out of that picture.
