Flying Cars - Not So Far In The Future

another one.. and another one... Flying cars are not new. Not in movies and not in reality. Engineers and Sci-Fi enthusiastic all over the world are always trying to build the next big thing that will completely change our way of transport. Just last week a company revealed a new "Flying Car" (more of a drone if you ask me) and it looks promising! Or is it? it's called "BlackFly". It got no wheels (why the drone comment) and it propels itself with eight small-but strong propellors spread on two wings. seems very easy to fly and has the option to fly itself! But.. It can only fly up to 40km and the top speed is 62mph. Is it really worth that if you need to charge it every 40km? they say it's gonna be pretty cheap but I think at first the cost will be pretty high. although they are saying it will slowly be lowered and eventually, everyone will be able to buy it! To be honest... I'm having a hard believing. But really.. who knows? we had so many futuristic inventions just in the past few years that really, anything can happen. what do you think? Are flying cars is the next big thing? - I'm kinda Pessimistic about it. Is this just a complete waste of time? - I think it will never be popular. people like the ground more than the skies. eventually, they won't sell enough and will have to close the business. What about you? if it was possible, would you think to buy such a "vehicle" so you can fly around? - Don't see it in my future. Please, share your opinion! If you would like to read about the subject yourself here are some interesting links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhKTCbbqbaE&t=403s
Called BlackFly, the single-seat, all-electric aircraft doesn't require the flyer to have a pilot license in order to operate it in the US, according to Palo Alto-based Opener.

Yes, flying cars has been the stuff of science fiction for over 70 years, and yet, where are they? At the airport, but they're called small aircraft. Not to mention moving sidewalks. Those are at the airport, too.
